Workflow
Output & Placement
Every result arrives in Photoshop as a layer. A few settings control how it is placed. You find them in the plugin settings.
Output mode
- Smart Object (default): The result is placed as a smart object, a layer type that preserves the original image data. This keeps your work non destructive.
- New Layer: The result is placed as a normal pixel layer.
- New Document: The result opens as a separate new document.
Placement
When the result and the target area have different proportions, this setting decides how the image is fitted:
- Contain (default): The whole image fits inside the target area. Small gaps can remain.
- Cover: The image fills the target area completely. Overhanging parts are cropped.
- Fill: The image is stretched to match the area exactly. Proportions may distort.
Masks
- Mask to selection (default on): When you generate with a selection, the new layer receives a layer mask in the shape of that selection. The change appears only inside the selection, and you can edit the mask afterwards.
- Fit to canvas (default off): When there is no selection or other target, the result is scaled to the canvas.
Color
"Preserve color space" (default on) tags results with their color profile so that Photoshop converts them correctly into the profile of your document. This keeps colors consistent in documents that use a different color profile.
