Getting Started & Installation
Seam is a plugin for Adobe Photoshop. It adds AI image generation, editing, and upscaling as a panel inside Photoshop. This page explains how to install the plugin, sign in, and run your first generation.
Seam needs an active internet connection because all images are generated by cloud services. The plugin requires Adobe Photoshop version 27.0 or newer.
1. Installing the plugin (.ccx)
After your purchase or trial registration you receive a confirmation email with the plugin file (seam.ccx). You can also download the file at any time from your user dashboard. No license key is needed. You sign in with your Seam account instead.
- 1Download the
seam.ccxfile. - 2Double click the file. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app opens.
- 3Confirm the installation and grant the requested permissions.
- 4Restart Photoshop. The panel is now available under
Plugins → Seam.
2. Signing in
When you open Seam for the first time, click Sign in inside the panel. Your browser opens a page that shows a short code. Confirm the sign in there. The plugin unlocks automatically within a few seconds. The device then appears in your user dashboard and uses one device seat of your license.
3. Your first image
- 1Open a document in Photoshop.
- 2Open the Create tab in the Seam panel.
- 3Type a short description of the image you want, for example "a wooden table in morning light".
