Getting Started & Installation

Seam is a plugin for Adobe Photoshop. It adds AI image generation, editing, and upscaling as a panel inside Photoshop. This page explains how to install the plugin, sign in, and run your first generation.

1. Installing the plugin (.ccx)

After your purchase you download the plugin file from your dashboard. The file is named after its version, for example Seam-v1.0.18.ccx. No license key is needed. You sign in with your Seam account instead.

   Open your dashboard at seam-plugin.com/dashboard and download the .ccx file.

   Double click the file. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app opens.

   Confirm the installation and grant the requested permissions.

   Restart Photoshop. The panel is now available under Plugins → Seam Plugin.

2. Signing in

When you open Seam for the first time, click Sign in inside the panel. Your browser opens a page that shows a short code. If it does not open by itself, go to seam-plugin.com/activate and enter the code shown in the panel. Confirm the sign in there, and the plugin unlocks within a few seconds.

3. Naming this computer

After the sign in, Seam asks you to name this computer, for example "Studio Mac". The name identifies the device in your dashboard, which matters as soon as you use more than one machine. Only after you confirm the name does the device take one of the device seats of your plan. You can rename it later with Rename device in the plugin settings.

4. Your first image

The panel has three tabs: Edit, Create, and Upscale. Edit is open when the panel starts.

   Open a document in Photoshop. It has to be in RGB color mode.

   Open the Create tab in the Seam panel.

   Type a short description of the image you want, for example "a wooden table in morning light".

   Click Generate. The result is placed into your document as a new layer.
