API Keys Setup (Lifetime)

This page applies to the Lifetime plan (one time purchase) only. On this plan Seam runs with your own accounts at the AI providers, and the providers bill you directly at their usage rates.

An API key is a personal access code that lets Seam use your provider account. You create one key per provider and store it in your user dashboard under Own API Keys. The keys are stored encrypted. The plugin itself never sees them.

1. Google (Gemini)

Used for the Google image models and the prompt enhancer.

   Create an account in Google AI Studio.

   Generate a new API key.

   Enter the key in your user dashboard under Own API Keys → Google Gemini.

2. OpenAI

Used for GPT Image 2.

   Create an account on the OpenAI developer platform.

   Open the "API Keys" section and create a new secret key.

   Enter the key in your user dashboard under Own API Keys → OpenAI.

3. Fal.AI

Used for the FLUX and Seedream models, Relight, Remove Background, and the upscale models. Fal.AI also serves as a backup service when a Google or OpenAI model does not respond.
